-Rs. 25 lakh incentives presented to outstanding teachers & researchers
-Former DGP Dr. M. Mahender Reddy, IPS (Retd) highlights the role of teachers in nation-building
SANGAREDDY, SEPTEMBER 05, 2025: MNR Educational Trust, the 51 year parent body of MNR University, celebrated Teachers’ Day with grandeur at its Fasalwadi campus on Friday, paying rich tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
On the occasion, the management presented incentives worth ₹25 lakhs to outstanding teachers and researchers in recognition of their exemplary contributions to education and research.
Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Dr. M. Mahender Reddy, former DGP of Telangana and ex-Chairman of the Telangana Public Service Commission, underlined the pivotal role of teachers in shaping young minds and nation-building. Recalling his own journey, he credited his teachers and professors for laying the foundation for his illustrious career. He also lauded Mr M. N. Raju, Founder-Chairman of MNR Educational Trust, for choosing teaching over a government job in his early career and for establishing a legacy in education that has flourished over the past 50 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr M. N. Raju expressed pride in his decision to dedicate his life to teaching, while Vice Chairman of MNRET and Chancellor of MNR University Shri M. S. Ravi Varma urged teachers to keep pace with rapid technological advancements in order to stay relevant in today’s dynamic education ecosystem.
Dr. Mahender Reddy, joined by Mr M. N. Raju, Mr Ravi Varma, Advisor Prof. Satyanarayana, Registrar Dr. Christopher, and Principal of MNR Dental College Dr Ravindra, felicitated the award-winning teachers and researchers. The management honoured Dr. Mahender Reddy for his outstanding contributions to training, leadership, and transformative reforms in the police service.
Earlier in the day, Mr Ravi Varma inaugurated state-of-the-art learning halls for medical students on campus. Around 500 heads, faculty and staff of MNR group of educational institutes took part in the day long celebrations.
