Telangana rising to get a boost with the Miss World competition
Programmes planned to showcase Telangana’s culture, history, spiritual, medical, and safe tourism to the world
As per CM Revanth Reddy’s instructions, extensive arrangements already made by the state government
Hyderabad, May 2, 2025: Under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, the state government has prepared a detailed action plan to conduct the 72nd Miss World 2025 competitions from May 10 to 31, 2025, in Hyderabad in a grand manner that highlights Telangana’s uniqueness to the world and boosts its brand image internationally.
The government is using Miss World competitions as a golden opportunity to attract large-scale investments into Telangana.
With the slogan “The World looks at Telangana!” this event is set to become a milestone in the state’s history. Miss World contestants are expected to reach Hyderabad from May 2 to 8. Contestants from around 120 countries will participate in this mega event.
On this occasion, special themes and tourist circuits have been designed to introduce Telangana’s culture, history, tourist attractions, medical tourism and growth story to the world.
Miss World 2025 – Program Travel Plan & Venue
12.05.2025: Buddhist Spiritual Tour
As part of the celebrations, the Buddhavanam Project and Buddhist Theme Park at Nagarjuna Sagar will be showcased to the world. Contestants participating in the Miss World competitions will visit these places on May 12.
12.05.2025: Hyderabad Heritage Walk
To highlight the richness of Hyderabad’s cultural heritage, a “Heritage Walk” will be organized at Charminar and Laad Bazaar.
13.05.2025: Visit to Chowmahalla Palace
Contestants will visit the iconic Palace of Hyderabad and enjoy a live music concert there.
14.05.2025: Warangal Heritage Visit
First group of Contestants will visit historic and spiritual sites like the Thousand Pillar Temple and Warangal Fort.
14.05.2025: Ramappa Temple Visit
Second group contestants will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Ramappa Temple and watch the Perini dance performance.
15.05.2025: Yadagirigutta Temple Visit
As part of spiritual tourism, First group will visit the Yadagirigutta Temple.
15.05.2025: Handloom Experiential Tour
Second group will explore handloom weaving and demonstrations in Pochampally.
16.05.2025: Medical Tourism Introduction
To attract patients from across the globe, a medical tourism event will be held at AIG Hospital, Hyderabad, showcasing the facilities to contestants.
16.05.2025: Pillalamarri Tree Visit
Second group will visit the ancient Pillalamarri tree in Mahbubnagar.
16.05.2025: Experium Eco Park Visit
Second group will visit Experium Eco Park, a key city attraction in Hyderabad.
17.05.2025: Miss World Sports Finals
Sports finals will be held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium.
17.05.2025: Visit to Ramoji Film City
Contestants will visit the world-renowned Ramoji Film City.
18.05.2025: Safety Tourism
Contestants will visit the Telangana Police Integrated Command & Control Center to observe government initiatives on citizen safety.
18.05.2025: Secretariat Visit
Officials will brief contestants on Telangana’s growth story and history. They will also visit Sunday-Funday Carnival at Tank Bund.
20 & 21.05.2025: Continental Finale
Fast-track regional cluster-based selections will be held.
20 or 21.05.2025: IPL Match Attendance
First Group will attend an IPL match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal.
21.05.2025: Arts & Crafts Workshop
Second group will attend a workshop conducted by Telangana artisans at Shilparamam, participating in hands-on sessions.
22.05.2025: Miss World Talent Finale
Talent finale event for contestants.
23.05.2025: H2H Challenge Finale
Head-to-head challenge finale.
24.05.2025: Miss World Top Model, Fashion Finale & Jewelry/Pearl Showcase
Participation in top model, fashion finale, and jewelry/pearl presentation.
26.05.2025: Beauty with Purpose
Contestants will present their social projects in the Beauty With a Purpose event.
31.05.2025: Miss World Grand Finale
Contestants will participate in the Miss World 2025 Grand Finale.
