JAGTIAL, JANUARY 17, 2026: Minister for Social Welfare Adluri Laxman Kumar has assured all assistance for the creation of the necessary infrastructure and academic development of SKNR GASC in Jagtial Town.
The management faculty members of the college met the Minister at his camp office and submitted a memorandum seeking support for the overall development of the college. During the meeting, the college representatives requested the Minister to sanction separate hostels for girls and boys, the construction of a college auditorium, and the introduction of new Postgraduate (PG) courses at SKNR GASC, Jagtial, to strengthen infrastructure and expand higher education opportunities for students from the region.
Mr Laxman Kumar responded positively to the representation and assured necessary consideration for the proposals, expressing his commitment towards the welfare of students and the development of the government educational institutions.
The delegation was led by the Principal, Professor Ashok, along with Vice Principal A. Srinivas, NCC Lieutenant Officer, Parlapalli Raju, Associate Professor, Department of Zoology, and Ankam Govardhan, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. Faculty members, NCC representatives, students, and staff of the college were also present during the interaction.
On this occasion, the students and staff of SKNR Government Arts & Science College, Jagtial, wholeheartedly thanked Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar for his positive response and continued support towards the growth and development of the institution.
The college community expressed hope that the proposed facilities and academic expansions would soon be realised, significantly benefiting students, especially those from socially and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
