KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 22, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE), Karimnagar town, celebrated Mathematics Week with great enthusiasm and academic fervour, making the entire campus vibrant with numbers, logic, and creativity. The week-long celebration aimed to highlight the importance of mathematics in daily life and to inspire students to appreciate the subject beyond textbooks.
Each day of the week witnessed one or the other mathematics-related activity, thoughtfully planned to suit different age groups. The celebrations began with a special morning assembly, where students spoke about the importance of National Mathematics Day and shared inspiring facts about the life and contributions of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan. To make the assembly engaging and meaningful, students presented a skit portraying Ramanujan’s journey and passion for mathematics, followed by a graceful dance performance symbolizing the beauty and rhythm of numbers.
As part of the celebrations, Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) were conducted for students from Grades I to XII. A wide range of mathematics-based activities, including puzzles, quizzes, mental math challenges, number games, problem-solving tasks, mathematical models, and real-life applications, were organized. These activities helped students develop logical thinking, analytical skills, and confidence in the subject.
Students participated with great enthusiasm, showcasing creativity, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards learning mathematics. The activities made mathematics enjoyable and interactive, helping students overcome fear and develop an interest in the subject.
On this occasion, Principal Mrs. Renuka Balivada encouraged students to approach mathematics with curiosity and consistent practice. Chairman Dr. Sudhakar Rao Polsani and Director Academics Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari conveyed their messages, emphasizing the importance of mathematics in shaping problem-solving skills and scientific thinking.
Mathematics Week concluded successfully, leaving students inspired by the legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan and motivated to explore the fascinating world of mathematics with confidence and joy.
