
Incidentally, the Teachers’ turnout is good for polling from the Teacher’s MLC constituency
Collector Pamela Satpathy exercises her franchise at a polling station in Karimnagar town
KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 27, 2025: There was a normal turnout of voters for the three MLC constituencies, including one Graduate and two Teachers constituencies which commenced at 8 a.m. and would continue till 4 p.m. on Thursday in Telangana state.
It was shocking to note that there was a polling percentage of only 61.68 per cent for the Karimnagar Graduates constituency and 83.25 per cent for the Karimnagar Teachers Constituency tentatively till 4 pm.
The Elections are being conducted for the Karimnagar-Medak- Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduates and Teacher’s Constituencies and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda Teachers’ constituency. A total of 56 candidates have remained in fray from the Karimnagar-Adlabad-Medak and Nizamabad Graduates constituency and 15 candidates from the Karimnagar Teachers Constituency.
For the Karimnagar-Medak- Nizamabad-Adilabad Graduates Constituency, there are 3,55,159 voters and 499 polling stations. Similarly, for the Karimnagar-Medak-Adilabad-Nizamabad Teachers Constituency, there are 27,088 voters and 274 polling stations have been set up.
District Election Officer and Collector Pamela Satpathy inspected various polling stations and supervised the arrangements for the smooth conduct of elections. Similarly, Commissioner of Police Abhishek Mohanty had also visited various polling stations and reviewed the security arrangements for the transportation of ballot boxes to the strong room at the Ambedkar Indoor Stadium in Karimnagar town amid tight security.
The Congress contestant from Karimnagar Graduates constituency V Narender Reddy exercised his franchise at government girls high school in Mankammathota. The BSP contestant from the Graduates constituency Prasanna Harikrishna had cast his vote at a polling booth in Boinpalli mandal in Rajanna-Sircilla district.
Collector and Distric election Officer Pamela Satpathy had cast her vote from the Karimnagar Graduates constituency at a polling station at Government primary School, Mukarampura in Karimnagar town by forming queue line along with other voters. Similarly, Additional Collector Praful Desai also exercised his franchise in the same polling station.
