Learning Table Etiquette and Manners with Enthusiasm
HYDERABAD, JULY 04, 2025: In a delightful session in The Play School, Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, students were taught essential table manners on Friday. The interactive workshop, led by experienced educators, emphasised the significance of sitting properly, using utensils correctly, and engaging in polite conversation during meals.
The little ones eagerly participated in fun games and role plays to grasp these crucial social skills. Through this engaging event, the school nurtured a foundation of good manners, ensuring the little students grow into well-mannered and courteous individuals
The students of The Play School participated in an engaging activity on table etiquette and manners. The objective was to instil good table manners and dining etiquette in young minds, essential for social presence and respect.
The activity began with emphasising the importance of clean hands, praying before meals, and eating quietly without spilling. The children learned about using napkins, table mats, spoons and forks correctly. Two crucial rules were reinforced: chewing food with their mouths closed and not talking while their mouths are full.
The students were encouraged to ask politely for items out of reach and enjoy family time at the dining table without distractions. The activity aimed to prepare kids for various social situations and meals with others.
The children participated with great enthusiasm, and the Principal, Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, appreciated the hands-on learning experience. Children need repetition and patience as they learn these skills. They may practice these skills more readily outside of home. By teaching table etiquette early, the school aims to shape respectful, courteous, and socially confident individuals.
