KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09, 2025: Karimnagar Three Town Police have arrested a compounder and accused of raping a young girl admitted in a private hospital in Karimnagar town.
Disclosing this to newsmen here on Tuesday, Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam said that the incident took place on September 6, 2025. The victim, admitted with fever, was allegedly drugged and raped by Peddy Dakshan Murthy alias Dakshinamurthy (23), a compounder/OT technician from Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. After the victim informed her father, a complaint was lodged at Three Town Police Station, and a case was registered under Crime No. 343/2025, Section 64(2)(e) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
Police collected witness statements and technical evidence, leading to the arrest of the accused on September 8, 2025. The accused had earlier worked in different hospitals in Karimnagar but was dismissed due to dhis rinking habits. He later joined the present hospital as a compounder. Police stated that he was addicted to alcohol and pornography.
Commissioner Alam said action would be taken against hospital management if negligence is found. He also urged youth to stay away from bad habits, noting that the accused ruined his own life and committed a heinous crime. Town ACP Venkataswamy and Inspector John Reddy were also present.
