The Collectorate was constructed some 40 years ago, and no official had erected a poster on open urination as they provided proper toilets with running water
Now, the present officials are working as per their ‘whims and fancies’ and behaving as if the Collectorate is their private estate and encroaching the parking space for obvious reasons by taking up plantation and causing serious inconvenience to the visitors
If the learned officials have any vision, they would not encroach the parking space, but create parking space with the growing number of vehicular population
They should remember that it is not their private estate to encroach and create problems for the future needs, as they are not permanent in Karimnagar town
Officials should create toilets before erecting posters for obvious reasons to appease some ‘persons’ for their selfish interests
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 09, 2025: Ironically, the authorities have removed the urinals on the premises of the Collectorate and do not provide any toilets to the visitors or the employees, but they have pasted posters to inform the public that urinating on the premises would impose a fine of Rs 100 in Karimnagar town.
Notably, the visitors and the employees working in various departments have been asking the officials to provide toilets or urinals to attend natural calls and later erect posters imposing fines. The authorities should also inform in the posters who would impose the fines, whether it is the Collector or Municipal Commissioner?
It is not their ‘private estate’ to work as per their whims and fancies and encroach on the parking space on the Collectorate complex and take up plantation and erect barbed fencing around its premises. The MCK officials should focus on the removal of footpaths and roads by the street vendors and ease traffic congestion in the town instead of encroaching on the parking space on the premises of the Collectorate for the comfort of some people and pet animals.

The officials claim that the Karimnagar district is Open Defecation Free (ODF), but they remove the existing toilets constructed on the premises at a corner adjacent to the Sulabh complex of the Collectorate complex. The so-called officials should also remember that the people from the Revenue shopping complex are urinating in the open as they did not have toilets on their premises opposite to the Collectorate. Better, check that issue before erecting the posters.
Likewise, the so-called learned officials should remember that the Collectorate was existed for over 40 years and no officer erected the poster on open urination as they had provided adequate toilets on the premises and offices. The officers should go around the Collectorate premises and check how many toilets are working on the office premises of the employees and the visitors before erecting the posters on open urination.
The officials had removed the cement benches in front of the Collectorate as they found that the people were sitting on the chairs when they were walking with their pet animals as behaving as feudal lords. They feel that none should visit Collectorate or sit in front of them and removed the benches which existed for several years.
