

KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 15, 2025: Usually, students perform and present cultural programmes during the official Independence Day celebrations. But for a change, the Collector and other officers donned the role of students and sang the national anthem in sign language in Karimnagar town on Friday.
During the official 79th Independence Day celebrations at Police parade grounds in Karimnagar town wherein Minister for IT and Industries Duddilla Sridhar Babu participated as the chief guest and hoisted the national flag. Collector Pamela Satpathy, Municipal Commissioner Praful Desai, Additional Collector Aswini Wakhede Tanaji and students and faculty members of Deaf and Dumb school in Karimnagar sang the national anthem in sign language and won accolades.
On this occasion, Minister Sridhar Babu appreciated the Collector and other officials for the rendition of the national anthem in sign language. It may be recalled that the Collector, along with other officials learned the sign language to understand the problems of the specially-abled persons.
