
KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 13, 2025: Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (Autonomous), Karimnagar, organised an inspiring Orientation Programme for the newly admitted first-year B.Tech students on Wednesday, marking the commencement of their academic journey at the institute.
Welcoming the students and their parents, Jyothishmathi Group of Institutions Chairman Juvvadi Sagar Rao emphasised the growing importance of technical and professional education in today’s competitive world. He advised the students to set clear career goals, focus on developing both technical expertise and moral values, and make the best use of the learning opportunities provided by the institute.
Secretary & Correspondent J. Sumith Sai congratulated the freshers for securing admission into JITS and encouraged them to participate actively in all academic and co-curricular activities. He urged students to cultivate self-confidence, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities, which are essential for their future professional success.
Addressing the gathering, Principal T Anil Kumar extended a warm welcome to the new batch and introduced the revised curriculum designed to meet emerging industry demands. He stressed the importance of maintaining discipline, attending classes regularly, and adhering to college rules to ensure a productive learning environment. He also encouraged students to develop a positive attitude towards continuous learning and to take part in various skill development programmes offered by the institute.
Dean of Academics P K Vaishali briefed the students about the academic framework, assessment methods, and credit system under the new curriculum. She advised them to maintain consistency in studies from the very beginning, make use of library and laboratory resources effectively, and develop time management skills to excel in their academic pursuits.
The event concluded with an interaction session, where students and parents received detailed information about academic regulations, examination systems, campus facilities, and support services. Faculty members, Heads of Departments, and senior students also participated, creating a welcoming and motivating atmosphere for the newcomers.
