KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 13, 2025: Annam Harshitha, a 2021 batch student of Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Sciences (JITS), Karimnagar, has bagged three gold medals in the upcoming convocation of the JNTU Hyderabad, scheduled for December 15, 2025.
She is the first student from any private engineering college to bag three gold medals in the JNTU convocation. She secured a gold medal for Best Outgoing Student (B Tech CSE) among all the JNTUH-affiliated colleges in the Telangana state, a gold medal for securing the highest marks in Mathematics-1 (late Prof C Purushotham memorial endowment award) and a gold medal for first rank in B Tech CSE among all JNTUH-affiliated colleges (Dr Md Vizarath Rasool Khan Endowment Gold medal).
On this occasion, JITS Chairman Juvvadi Sagar Rao had felicitated Harshitha for outstanding performance by winning three medals and bringing a reputation to the college, which had so far won 9 gold medals from the JNTU in various convocations. He also presented Harshitha with a cash reward of Rs one lakh for securing the gold medals. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Sagar Rao said that the JITS is known for its academic excellence and for instilling discipline among students to transform future citizens of the country.

Annam Harshitha has attributed her success in winning three gold medals from JNTUH to the constant support of the college management with its infrastructure, library, and faculty members, who act as mentors and discipline in the college. She said that the JITS had transformed her life with the discipline and quality education provided by the teachers.
Stating that she had attended several seminars, conferences and programmes organised by the college management, she said that they had accorded priority in reading textbooks by visiting the library regularly and added that the textbooks not only help in academics but also in improving knowledge. Principal Anil Kumar, Dean (Academics), PK Vaishali and others were also present.
