KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 22, 2025:Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science (autonomous), Karimnagar, organised a Guest Lecture on “Natural Language Processing and Its Applications” delivered by Dr. Sanjaya Kumar Panda, Assistant Professor, NIT Warangal, on Friday.
Mr Sanjay Kumar Panda, the resource person from NIT Warangal, explained how NLP, a subfield of Artificial Intelligence, is transforming human–machine interaction by enabling computers to understand, interpret, and generate human language. He highlighted its wide applications in speech recognition, language translation, sentiment analysis, and conversational AI, with growing impact in healthcare, education, customer service, e-commerce, and governance. He also emphasized recent advancements such as deep learning, transformer models, and multilingual systems that are enabling real-time communication and human-centric AI solutions.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Juvvadi Sagar Rao expressed that such expert lectures inspire students to stay updated with cutting-edge technologies. Secretary and Correspondent J Sumith Sai stressed the importance of bridging academics with industry needs, while the Principal Dr T Anil Kumar highlighted that emerging fields like NLP open vast opportunities for research, innovation, and employability.
The event was attended by the Dean (Academics), Head of the Department, faculty members, and students. Students actively participated and interacted with the resource person, gaining valuable insights for skill enhancement in this emerging domain.
