
Theme: “Let’s Move Together for Motivation, Community, and Joy”
HYDERABAD, JUNE 23, 2025: Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, vibrantly celebrated International Olympic Day on Monday (June 23), embracing the inspiring theme, “Let’s move together for motivation, community, and joy.” The event also marked the inauguration of the CCA Kabaddi Tournament, infusing the campus with energy, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
The celebration commenced with a flag hoisting ceremony and the resonant notes of the sports anthem, setting a patriotic and spirited tone for the day. Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, Principal of the school, delivered an inspiring address. She reflected,
“From the first modern Olympic Games held in Athens in 1896 to today’s global sporting celebrations, the Olympics have always symbolised unity and perseverance. Sports build not just strong bodies but stronger minds and values. Let us live the Olympic spirit every day—not just in competition, but in compassion, discipline, and teamwork.
The programme continued with vibrant cultural performances, including an energetic dance, a thought-provoking skit on Olympic values, and a motivational song performed by students, all of which drew enthusiastic applause from the audience.
A felicitation ceremony followed, honouring the school’s sports achievers for their dedication and success. The atmosphere was charged with pride as the student-athletes took the Oath of Sportsmanship, pledging honesty, fairness, and unwavering effort.
Chairman Polasani Sudhakar Rao, in his message, noted, “Such events shape the confidence and discipline of future champions.” Correspondent of the school, Mr. Harihara Prasad added, “Olympic Day is a celebration of both movement and values—may our students grow with both in equal measure.”
