KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 21, 2025: Mother Language Day is celebrated as International Mother Language Day at the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for women in Nagunuru on the outskirts of Karimnagar town on Friday.
The programme was aimed at promoting linguistic and cultural diversity through activities like competitions and awareness programmes highlighting the importance of one’s native language.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal T Malathi emphasized the significance of the mother language and motivated the students to devote themselves fully to its growth, and enrichment. She added that only those cultures who are rooted in and stay connected with their mother language. Vice Principal G Samatha, Telugu department head Erroju Venkateshwarlu, faculty members Ch Kavitha, A Renuka and others were also present.
