NEW DELHI, APRIL 07, 2026: Union Home Minister for Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, has congratulated Saraswat Cooperative Bank and Amul on achieving the landmark milestone of crossing ₹1 lakh crore in annual turnover during the financial year 2025–26.
Describing the achievement as historic, Amit Shah stated that this remarkable feat reflects the growing strength, resilience and vast potential of the cooperative sector in India. He emphasised that such milestones underscore the critical role of cooperatives in driving inclusive economic growth and empowering millions of members across the country.
This achievement is particularly significant for both the cooperative banking and dairy sectors, marking a new era of scale, efficiency and professionalism. It is expected to further accelerate the Government of India’s vision of building a self-reliant India, aligned with the broader goal of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
