
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 26, 2025: The Press Information Bureau (PIB), Hyderabad, celebrated Hindi Pakhwada-2025 as part of the nationwide observance from September 15th to 30th, aimed at promoting the use of Hindi language in official work and day-to-day communication. On this occasion a special session was organised on Friday to foster awareness and encourage the usage of Hindi among officials and staff.
Mr Anup Kumar, Assistant Director, Hindi Training Institute, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Official Language, graced the event as Guest Speaker. In his address, Mr Kumar highlighted the importance of increasing the adoption of Hindi in routine office operations. He elaborated on various technological tools available, including Kantasth software, local translation memory systems, and the Sindhu app, which contains an extensive repository of over three lakh words, facilitating ease of use and effective translation. He also informed about the Pragna and Praveen schemes that provide cash incentives to promote the active use of Hindi in government offices. He further emphasised the periodic inspections carried out by Parliamentary Committees and other agencies to ensure compliance with Rajbhasha rules and reiterated that sustained efforts would help offices surpass the prescribed targets with ease.
Mrs Shruti Patil, Additional Director General, PIB Hyderabad, addressed the gathering and underscored the vital role of Hindi in strengthening communication across the country. She encouraged all present to enhance Hindi usage in official correspondence, preparation of reports, and outreach activities, and advocated for a collective and committed approach towards its promotion. Deputy Director Manas Krishna Kanth & senior officials and staff members of PIB and CBC Hyderabad participate in the session.
