

HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 25, 2025: The Geological Survey of India (GSI), Southern Region, Hyderabad, organised a mass cleanliness drive ‘Ek Din Ek Ghanta Ek Saath Shramdaan’ on Thursday (September 25, 2025) at Bandlaguda as part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva, 2025 campaign.
The initiative was held in collaboration with the Pedda Amberpet Municipality. Over 400 officers and staff of GSI Southern Region enthusiastically participated in the programme, which began with a 1 km Swachhata rally carrying banners and slogans to spread the message of cleanliness.
This was followed by a collective effort to clean the surroundings. Addressing the gathering, Mr Basab Mukhopadhyay, Additional Director General & HOD, GSI Southern Region, highlighted the importance of raising public awareness about cleanliness and urged citizens to contribute towards maintaining hygiene in their neighbourhoods.
The event concluded with all participants taking the Swachhata Pledge in Telugu, reaffirming their commitment to the vision of a clean and healthy environment.
