JAGTIAL, OCTOBER 23, 2024: Jagtial legislator Dr M Sanjay Kumar participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 12 additional classrooms at the Government Degree College for women in Jagtial town on Wednesday.
The Government has sanctioned Rs 5 crore under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) scheme to college. Accordingly, Rs 3.92 crore was allocated for the construction of 12 additional classrooms. The college authorities have also planned to construct a hostel on the premises for the benefit of girl students. Earlier, the students presented colourful cultural programmes to welcome the guests.
College Principal K Ramakrishna urged the local legislator to extend all possible for the development of the women’s degree college. Municipal chairperson Aduvala Jyothi, CPDC member Dr Srilatha, Manchala Krishna, ward councilor Naveen Kumar, former ZP chairman Nagabushanam, EE Anitha,, Government Degree College principal A Ashok, vice principal A Srinivas, other faculty members G Chandraiah. T Pramod Kumar, V Varaprasad, Vasavi, N Sangeetha Rani, Ramachandram, Jamuna, Sunitha, Jyothsna and others were also present.
