
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 18, 2025: Government Degree College, Rajendranagar, Shamshabad, celebrated its Freshers’ Party with grandeur on Thursday. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed guests, including Prakash Goud, MLA of Rajendranagar Assembly Constituency, who attended as the Chief Guest.
Mr Prakash Goud emphasised the significance of discipline in one’s life, stating that it is a cornerstone for achieving success. “Discipline paves the way for accomplishments and shapes individuals to reach their goals,” the MLA remarked in his address.
Another distinguished guest, the Founder of “SIRI” Charitable Trust, Sushma
lauded the students’ achievements and shared insightful perspectives on becoming successful individuals. Her words inspired the fresher to strive for excellence.
The occasion was graced by other prominent personalities of Shamshabad town, adding to the festive atmosphere. The highlight of the cultural segment included vibrant Bathukamma dances performed by students, in which the local MLA, Prakash Goud, enthusiastically participated alongside faculty members and the Principal of the college.
The programme commenced with the Principal’s report, followed by speeches delivered by the Chief Guest, MLA Prakash Goud, and Sushma. The dignitaries, including the MLA and the Principal Hima Bindu, distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions held at the college. Toppers in academics were also felicitated with meritorious prizes, recognising their scholastic achievements.
In a notable assurance, MLA Prakash Goud stated that he would extend support for the development of the college’s infrastructure, underscoring his commitment to enhancing educational facilities in the constituency.
The Fresher’s Party blended cultural festivities with motivational addresses, leaving a lasting impression on the students. The event fostered a sense of camaraderie among fresher’s, seniors, faculty, and distinguished guests, marking a memorable welcome for the new batch at Govt Degree College, Rajendranagar, Shamshabad.
