KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 6, 2025: The Stage is all set for the conduct of the second convocation of the Satavahana University on its campus on November 7 (Friday) in Karimnagar town.
Governor and Chancellor of the University, Jishnu Dev Varma, will attend as the chief guest to distribute 161 gold medals and 25 PhDs to the students. The University, established in 2008, is conducting its second convocation in Karimnagar town.
The Governor would arrive on the road from Raj Bhavan to Satavahana University by around 10.50 am on Friday, and after a brief halt, would participate in the convocation from 11 am to 12.30 pm. After lunch at the University, the Governor would arrive at the Collectorate at around 2 pm.
The Governor would walk through the exhibition on locally made handicrafts, silver filigree, food items etc, organised by MEPMA. He would conduct a meeting with Collector Pamela Satpathy and TB officers and Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) representatives. He would also interact with eminent personalities of Karimnagar district, including poets, writers, and artists, on the occasion. He would depart from Collectorate by road at 3.50 pm and reach Raj Bhavan at 6 pm.
Meanwhile, the district administration and police machinery are making unprecedented arrangements for the maiden visit of the Governor to Karimnagar town. The authorities are sprucing up the Satavahana University and Collectorate by taking up beautification works.
