
HYDERABAD, JUNE 14, 2025: Governor of Telangana and President of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Telangana State Branch, Mr Jishnu Dev Varma, inaugurated a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on Saturday at Samkruthi, Raj Bhavan Community Hall, on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2025.
Speaking at the event, the Governor thanked all voluntary blood donors for their life-saving service, calling it an act of “seva” — sacred service to humanity. He said their selfless contribution not only saves lives but also brings hope to countless families in distress.
He appreciated the efforts of motivators, organisers, and CSR partners who continuously support the cause of voluntary blood donation. He also praised the role of doctors and Red Cross volunteers in ensuring safe and efficient blood collection.
Members of the Raj Bhavan Pariwar and security personnel actively participated and donated blood during the camp. The Governor presented certificates to blood donors and honoured NGOs and institutional representatives for their outstanding contributions through social service and CSR support.
The event was attended by the Principal Secretary to the Governor and Chairman of IRCS Telangana, M. Dana Kishore, Joint Secretary to Governor, J. Bhavani Shankar; senior Raj Bhavan officials; IRCS State and District functionaries; volunteers; and other guests.
