HYDERABAD, JANUARY 30, 2026: Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Batti Vikramarka and others paid tributes to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, on the occasion of his death anniversary at Bapu Ghat, Langer Houz, where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed at the confluence of Musi and Esi rivers in Hyderabad on Friday.
On this occasion, the leaders paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma and observed two minutes silence as a mark of respect. The speakers recollected Mahatma’s ideals of truth and non-violence. Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar, TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, former MP V Hanumantha Rao and other Congress leaders were also present.
