Singareni CMD Balram advised that the opportunity should be utilized effectively by working with discipline
HYDERABAD, SEPTEMBER 06, 2025: The management of Singareni Collieries Company Limited has issued orders to reinstate 43 employees who had previously been terminated from their roles as Junior Mining Engineer Trainees (JMET) due to various reasons.
As per the directions of the company’s Chairman and Managing Director N. Balram, these orders were released to provide them with another opportunity.
Previously, these individuals were removed from service due to unauthorised absence and failure to submit required documents. However, a tripartite agreement was recently reached between the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner, Singareni management, and the recognized workers’ union-Singareni Collieries Workers Union (AITUC) regarding their reinstatement. Based on this agreement, the management issued reinstatement orders on Saturday.
- As part of this, the 43 terminated Junior Mining Engineer Trainees being reinstated will be considered as fresh recruits.
- They must appear before a high-power committee constituted by the company and submit their documents, Overman certificate, Gas Testing and First Aid certificates, etc.
- Based on the committee’s recommendations, they will undergo medical fitness tests. Upon successful completion, provisional appointment orders will be issued.
- The reinstated Junior Mining Engineer Trainees must mandatorily complete at least 190 muster days during their first year of service.
`According to the agreement, those JMETs who were terminated before 24.07.2025, are below 45 years of age, apply to the high-power committee, and are declared medically fit, will soon receive reappointment letters as Junior Mining Engineer Trainees (JMET), T&S Grade-C, said Singareni Chairman & Managing Director Balram.
He urged all those rejoining to work with discipline and make the most of this valuable opportunity. He emphasised that securing jobs in today’s competitive market is extremely difficult, and those who are being given a second chance after termination should offer their best services to the company.
