
KARIMNAGAR, OCTOBER 24, 2025: The Genesis Gala 2025 fresher’s party celebration was conducted with great enthusiasm at the SRR Government Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Karimnagar, under the auspices of the Life Sciences departments. The event, held on Friday, marked a vibrant welcome to the first-year B.Sc. students and was presided over by Principal Prof. K. Ramakrishna.
The Chief Guest, Kadaru Surender Reddy, General Secretary of the Government Degree College Teachers’ Association, addressed the gathering and highlighted the rich heritage, culture, and traditions of the institution. He urged students to make the best use of the college’s resources, set clear goals, and strive toward academic and personal excellence. He emphasized that by utilizing the experience of senior students and the guidance of faculty, newcomers can contribute to the college’s legacy and reach greater heights.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal Prof. Ramakrishna said that fresher’s celebrations like Genesis Gala not only introduce students to college life but also help them overcome hesitation and bring out their hidden talents. He appreciated the senior students of Life Sciences departments for organising the event successfully and congratulated the faculty members and heads of departments who guided them. He noted that such traditional, well-organised events strengthen the cultural and academic environment of the institution.
The event saw active participation from several heads of departments — Thirukovela Srinivas (Head, Botany), Kiranmai Kamadri (Head, Zoology), NCC Major Rella Sanjeev (Head, Chemistry), Burla Chandrasekhar (Head, Telugu), Komura Reddy (Head, Hindi), Routhu Radhakrishna (Head, Microbiology), N. Srinivasulu (Head, English), N. Anjaneyulu (Head, Computer Science), Shyamala Chandra (Head, Biotechnology), and Malathi, along with faculty members Padala Thirupathi, Mohammad Tahir Hussain, Bunga Thirupathi, Kandukuri Kalajyothi, Asampalli Swaroopa Rani, Mohammad Tajuddin, Thota Mahesh, Sai Krishna, Preethi, Samatha, Mridula, and Latha. Non-teaching staff also attended and contributed to the success of the event.
The Genesis Gala 2025 stood out as a joyful and inspiring event, symbolising unity, creativity, and the spirit of academic excellence at SRR Government Degree College, Karimnagar.
