KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 06, 2025: Women Empowerment Cell of Govt. Degree College for Women (Autonomous), Karimnagar, has celebrated the Rakhi festival in advance on Wednesday.
Women empowerment cell coordinator B Rajani Devi organised the event in coordination with WEC members Nazia Rahaman, Anoosha. All the Women staff tied rakhis to the male staff and distributed sweets. Principal Prof. D Varalakshmi congratulated the WEC team. Teaching and Non-Teaching staff were present.
Earlier, the College paid floral tributes to Telangana Ideologue Prof K Jayashankar on his birth anniversary by garlanding his portrait and recollecting his services for the cause and formation of Telangana state. Principal Varalaksjnu, Academic coordinator Manoj Kumar, faculty members Afsar Osmanim, B Rajani Devi, G Radha, Kumara Swamy, Jabeen Sultanana, Arshia Sultanana others were also present.
