KARIMNAGAR, AUGUST 25, 2025: In a bid to enlighten on the need to protect the environment, students of Government Degree College, Huzurabad, made eco-friendly Ganesh idols for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival on Monday.
Principal P Indira Devi and other faculty members had designed the clay idols along with the students. They designed the clay idols with natural colours to protect the environment especially water bodies, from pollution.
The students also took a pledge to protect the environment from pollution and discourage the use of pollution-causing PoP idols. Vice Principal K. Malla Reddy appreciated the efforts of students for not only honouring our tradition but also fulfilling their duty towards environmental protection. Faculty members V. Swaroopa Rani, Sarala Jhansi, Odelu, H. Pallavi, Sumalatha, V. Rama, Renuka, Narender Reddy, Mahipal Reddy, Swapna and students participated in this programme.
