JAGTIAL, FEBRUARY 19, 2026: Faculty members of Government Degree Colleges in various parts of the integrated Karimnagar district have launched enrollment campaigns to counteract declining student numbers attributed to the rise of private institutions and other factors.
These campaigns involve faculty members visiting various government junior colleges, highlighting institutional advantages and distributing promotional materials to attract students.

As part of the campaign, the Government Degree college for women (autonomous) Jagtial under the guidance of principal K Ramakrishna and the team led by the coordination of DOST Coordinator G. Chandrayya. Faculty members including Vasala Varaprasad, N Sangeeta Rani, G. Ramachandram, D. Sujatha, V. Jamuna, G. Neeraja, G. Srilatha, Sangeeta, Naresh, and Lakshman participated in the programme.

They visited several junior colleges including Social Welfare Government Girls Junior College, Jagtial; Government Junior College, Malyal; Telangana State Gurukul Government Girls Junior College, Tatipalli; Government Junior College, Gollapalli; and Government Residential Junior College, Gollapalli. During the visits, students were informed about the various facilities, academic strengths, and opportunities available at the Autonomous Government Degree College for Women, Jagtial.
They informed the students that the college offers B.Sc. programmes in MPC, MPCS, BZC, and BZCS; B.Com (Computers); and B.A. with Urdu medium. It was also announced that several new courses will be introduced in the forthcoming academic year.
The college authorities further informed students that free assistance will be provided for DOST (Degree Online Services, Telangana) registration and admission processes. Students were encouraged to visit the college campus along with their parents to gain a better understanding of the facilities and academic environment.
