
HANAMKONDA, JUNE 17, 2025: The Department of Food and Nutrition, Vaagdevi Degree and PG College, Hanamkonda, successfully organised a two-day FoSTaC (Food Safety Training and Certification) program on Advanced Manufacturing on 16th and 17th June 2025. This training initiative was conducted as part of the college’s continuous commitment to promoting food safety and skill enhancement among students.
The programme was conducted under the expert guidance of Anjaneyulu Chaganti, Master Trainer and Director of Food Safety India Pvt. Ltd. The sessions comprehensively covered crucial topics including Introduction to Food Safety, Regulatory Framework, Facility and Equipment Management, Cleaning, Sanitation and Maintenance, Personal Hygiene, Pest Control, Food Operations and Controls, Food Transportation, Storage and Distribution, Management, Supervision and Training, Food Testing and Audits, Product Information and Consumer Awareness, and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
 
 
M.Sc. Food Technology students actively participated in the training sessions, gaining valuable insights into advanced food safety practices essential for the modern food industry. The interactive sessions, practical demonstrations, and detailed discussions were highly appreciated by all the participants. Students who completed the training and passed the assessment received certificates from FSSAI, recognising them as certified Food Safety Supervisors for Advanced Manufacturing.
The programme was graced by A. Sheshachalam, Principal; P. Harinder Reddy, Vice Principal; Rajaprasad, IQAC Coordinator; G. Vikram, Dean of Life Sciences; along with faculty members and staff from the Department of Food and Nutrition, who extended their wholehearted support and encouragement to the participants.
