
KARIMNAGAR, SEPTEMBER 28, 2025: Whether in power or not, former Choppadandi MLA Sunke Ravishankar, who adopted orphan children, presented new clothes to them on the eve of Bathukamma and Dasara festivals at his residence in Choppadandi mandal on Sunday. Besides providing new clothes, the former MLA and his wife, Deevana, had lunch with the children.
Ravishankar adopted ten children, including eight belonging to the Choppadandi constituency and two from the Manakondur segment, as they became orphans following the death of their parents. Besides providing education, these children are provided with all assistance by the MLA.
On this occasion, the former MLA assured the orphan children that he was like their father and it was their home, and they could visit anytime for any assistance and assured them of all assistance for their wellbeing, education and other requirements.
Residents of Katnapalli of Choppadandi mandal, Samatha and her sister Mamatha, became orphans with the death of their parents. On coming to know about the incident, the MLA raised Rs 18 lakh with the help of philanthropists and deposited the amount in the bank accounts in their names. Samatha was provided a job in Gurukulam school, while Mamatha joined Gurukulam school. They were also sanctioned a double-bedroom house.
He also ensured that a girl student secured admission in Mughdoompur residential school and another girl studied in KGBV. He also promised to perform the marriages of the girls at his own expense. Similarly, the list of ways to help orphan children is endless.
