KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 22, 2026: The Karimnagar District Ex-servicemen Arms and Licence holders association has urged Commissioner of Police Gaush Alam to look into the issue of fake arms licence holders working as security guards at various national banks in Karimnagar town.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, Association president M D Iqbal, general secretary K Rajamallu and others said that several persons from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh states were working as security guards at various national banks with fake Arms licences. They also reminded that the then Commissioner of Police Satyanarayana had checked the fake Arms licences by the private people of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir states.

Stating that these fake licence holders would pose a security threat to the banks and to the city’s peace and security, they said that the accused persons used fake seals of licence-issuing officials and forged the signatures to prepare the fake arms licences and procured real weapons.
The Ex-servicemen urged the authorities concerned to check the menace as it would pose a serious threat to the security of the banks and law and order.
