

SIDDIPET, AUGUST 14, 2025: The Government Degree College (Autonomous), Siddipet, under the auspices of the NSS Unit, organised an awareness programme on Wednesday to strengthen the fight against drug abuse. On this occasion, all students took the Anti-Drug Pledge.
Addressing the gathering, College Principal G. Sunitha stressed that leading a drug-free lifestyle is the responsibility of every individual. She urged students to stay away from drug abuse, to avoid getting trapped in its harmful effects, and to immediately inform the authorities about anyone involved in the sale, purchase, or illegal transportation of drugs. She further explained that the creation of a drug-free society is a key mission of the Government of Telangana, and students should actively participate in achieving it.
The event was attended by Vice Principal P. Ayodhya Reddy, IQAC Coordinator Ch. Madhusudhan, COE Gopala Sudarshanam, Academic Coordinator, Pitla Dass, NSS Programme Officers A. Mahesh Kumar, M. Sampath Kumar Reddy, A. Shailaja, G. Balakrishna, Haribabu, V. Balakrishna, along with teaching staff members, all of whom took the Anti-Drug Pledge.
