KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 24, 2026: Huzurabad-based Gangishetty Madhuramma Memorial Charitable Trust has conducted an essay writing competition on the topic of “Importance of Girl Child Education” for the girl students as part of the National Girl Child Day at MJP Girls’ residential school in Manakondur mandal on Saturday.
Four students, N Sushma, V Bhargavi, G Sahastra and P Ruthvika have bagged the prizes in the essay writing competitions. The organisers have distributed dictionaries and mementoes to the winners.

Trust organiser Gangishetty Jagadeshwar, Assistant Principal Lavanya, said the day is celebrated to spread awareness about the inequalities faced by girls in Indian society and to raise awareness about the rights of the girl child and the importance of female education, health and nutrition. The day is in line with various campaigns and programmes of the Indian Government, including Beti Bachao Beti Padhao and Save the Girl Child.
