HANAMKONDA, MARCH 05, 2026: “Empowering women is essential for societal progress,” stated Registrar of Kakatiya University (KU) Prof. V Ramachandram.
Participating as the chief guest at a programme held on Thursday, on the eve of International Women’s Day, organised by the Women’s Studies Centre at the University Arts and Science College, Hanumakonda.
Prof. Ramachandram emphasised that women are advancing in various domains through education, financial independence, and heightened social awareness. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Emeritus Prof. V Shobha highlighted the significance of women’s education. She noted that women’s contributions are vital for modern society’s development, asserting that educated women not only uplift their families but also serve as pillars for the community.
Dr. Swathi, a physician at Sunrise Hospital, underscored the critical need for prioritizing women’s health, stating that a woman’s well-being is fundamental to family happiness. In her address, Prof. Jyoti, Principal of the University Arts and Science College, encouraged students to cultivate self-confidence and skills to take on leadership roles within society. Vice Principal Rehman, Women’s Cell Coordinator Srilakshmi, faculty members, and students participated.
