KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 30, 2025: Vivekananda Residential School (CBSE) successfully organised a Capacity Building Programme on the National Curriculum Framework in School Education (NCF 2023) on 30 November 2025, bringing together enthusiasm, clarity, and purpose for transforming teaching–learning practices in Karimnagar town.
The programme began with great josh and pomp, setting an energetic tone for the day. The session opened with an insightful discussion on the Aims of School Education as outlined in the new NCF, highlighting the vision of holistic, learner-centred, and competency-based education.
The school had the honour of hosting two eminent resource persons—Dr. T. Lalitha Kumari, Principal and Director (Academics), Sister Nivedita School, Hyderabad, Director (Academics) Vivekananda Residential School, Karimnagar, and Sanjeev Nampally, Principal, Fortune Butterfly Senior Secondary School, Hyderabad. Both experts brought rich academic experience and deep expertise in curriculum design, making the programme highly impactful and meaningful for all participants.
Throughout the session, the resource persons elaborated on several key components of the NCF. Teachers were introduced to the Approach to Learning Standards, the Stage Design of school education, and the importance of Language Education in ensuring strong communication abilities. The discussions moved on to the Learning Standards across the four stages, followed by engaging insights into Pedagogy and Assessment aligned with the competency-based framework. A major highlight was the segment on Educational Technology, where the participants learned about the context of ICT in India and emerging digital tools that can enhance classroom experiences.
The programme stood out for its high level of interaction. Both resource persons made the sessions lively and enjoyable by involving teachers in discussions, activities, and presentations. Participants worked collaboratively, shared reflections, and presented their understanding of NCF concepts, making the learning process experiential and engaging. This hands-on approach helped teachers internalise the new curriculum framework more effectively and confidently.
