NCC cadets donate 72 units of blood
SIDDIPET, JUNE 0\14, 2025: The National Cadet Corps of the Government Degree College (autonomous) Siddipet belonging to the 9 Telangana Battalion NCC (Army Wing), Karimnagar, in association with the Blood Bank of the Government general hospital, Siddipet, conducted a mega blood donation camp on the college premises on the occasion of World Blood Donor day on Saturday.
A total of 72 NCC cadets donated blood and took a pledge to create awareness about the importance of blood donation to save lives. College NCC Caretaker B. Krishnaiah, Government General Hospital-Siddipet, Blood Bank Regional Medical Officer Dr. Sadanandam, Dr. G. Sravani, Kanakchandram, Anjaiah, Srinivas, Praneeth, Ramesh, Balagoud, Betaiah, NCC cadets participated in this camp.
World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on the birth anniversary of Karl Landsteiner, who discovered the ABO blood group system. It was first organised in 2004 by the World Health Organisation (WHO).
