All development in Karimnagar Corporation and municipalities is driven solely by Central Government funds
Congress failed to release even a single rupee in two years of its rule

Congress is attempting to mislead voters with last-minute foundation stone ceremonies ahead of elections
Voting for BRS is a waste and supports the BJP and ensures victory in the maximum number of seats
Former Zilla Parishad Chairman Vijay Ganapathi gives a shock to BRS, and the couple joins the BJP in the presence of Bandi Sanjay, along with BRS leaders
KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 22, 2026: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar stated that in the upcoming municipal and corporation elections, the BJP will go to the people with development as its main agenda, highlighting the development carried out in municipalities and corporations using funds provided by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Earlier today, former Zilla Parishad Chairman and BRS leader Kanumalla Vijay Ganapathi joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar at the MP’s office in Karimnagar. The Minister warmly welcomed Vijay Ganapathi and his wife into the party by draping them with saffron scarves. Along with them, several BRS leaders from Jammikunta also joined the BJP.
Later, addressing the media, Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that whatever development has taken place in Karimnagar Corporation and other municipalities in his parliamentary constituency has been possible only due to funds released by the Central Government. He stated that development works in corporations and municipalities are being carried out through schemes such as Smart City, AMRUT 1 & 2, Swachh Bharat, and funds released by the 14th, 15th, and 16th Finance Commissions. In this context, he said that the BJP would approach the people in the upcoming elections with the slogan “Development is our policy… Hindutva is our slogan.”
The Minister criticised the Congress government for not allocating even a single rupee to municipalities over the past two years. He alleged that with elections approaching, Congress leaders are trying to mislead voters by hurriedly laying foundation stones for development works just to seek votes. He questioned the benefit of voting for the BRS party, which is not in power either at the Centre or in the State, and alleged that after winning, its representatives tend to indulge in party defections. He urged people to observe the realities.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar assured that if people bless the BJP and ensure victory in the maximum number of seats in Karimnagar Corporation and municipalities, he would bring maximum funds from the Centre along with CSR funds and demonstrate what true development really means.
BJP District President Gangadi Krishna Reddy, former Karimnagar Mayor D. Shankar, Deputy Mayor Guggilla Ramesh, and BJP leaders from Jammikunta Akula Rajender, Puppala Raghu, and others participated in the event.
