Petitioner urges that a thorough inquiry be conducted into the functioning of TMREIS
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 14, 2025: Retired Educationist and Advocate Akramullah Khan has urged Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Batti Vikramarka to remove all the retired employees working in the Telangana Minorities Residential Education Institution society, who are allegedly resorting to several irregularities and swindling of the public exchequer in various parts of Telangana state, including Karimnagar district.
In a memorandum submitted to the deputy CM and a copy of which was released to the media here on Monday, Mr Khan reminded that the Congress government, after assuming the charge, had announced to remove all the retired employees working in various departments on an outsourcing basis. But, surprisingly, the retired IFS Shafiullah was reinstated as Secretary of TMREIS and several other retired officers at the state headquarters of TMREIS in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, against the norms.
Similarly, Akram Pasha, retired SI of Police, who was working as a Vigilance officer on an outsourcing basis in Karimnagar district, was terminated from service on August 23, 2023, by the secretary TMREIS on the charges of corruption. However, he was again reinstated at the same position this month.
He urged the Deputy CM to conduct a thorough inquiry and audit of the vigilance and enforcement department from the inception of the society on the spending of the society, purchase of equipment and materials and other issues. He also sought stern action against the officials involved in the corrupt practices by siphoning off public money and denying the same to the student community.
