HYDERABAD, JANUARY 13, 2026: Officials of the Drugs Control Administration, Telangana, seized Spurious Drug (Counterfeit Version) ‘Levipil 500’ Tablets (Levetiracetam Tablets 500 mg), falsely claimed to be manufactured by Sun Pharma Laboratories Ltd.
During the raid conducted by the DCA based on gathered intelligence, a counterfeit version of ‘Levipil 500’ Tablets was detected circulating in the market at Chintal, Quthbullapur Village, Medchal-Malkajgiri District.
Counterfeit drugs were seized at Durga Medical and General Stores, Chintal, Quthbullapur Village, Medchal-Malkajgiri District. Levipil 500 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine used to treat fits (seizures) in epilepsy.
