KARIMNAGAR, MARCH 01, 2026: Daram Susheela Devi Charitable Trust in Karimnagar celebrated the World Civil Defence Day, aiming to promote awareness among the youth regarding emergency preparedness, disaster response and civic responsibility in Garshakurthi village of Gangadhara mandal on Sunday.
On this occasion, Trust chairman and senior Physician Dr D Raghu Raman felicitated the parents of the Army personnel, who are striving for the protection of the country on the borders. On this occasion, Dr Raghu Raman said that Civil Defence plays a vital and frontline role in safeguarding lives and property during natural disasters, emergencies, and unforeseen incidents.

World Civil Defence Day, observed annually on March 1st, highlights the vital role of emergency services in protecting citizens, property, and the environment from disasters. Initiated by the ICDO1990, it promotes preparedness, raises public awareness about safety measures, and honours personnel who manage risks, often focusing on themes like community training and, as of 2026, “National Integration for a Prepared Family and a Sustainable Community”. Garshakurthi sarpanch Chindam Anjaneyulu, school correspondent Mittapalli Rajashekhar and others were also present.
