JAGTIAL, FEBRUARY 02, 2026: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College for Women in Jagtial, in association with the police department, conducted an awareness programme on Cybercrime on Monday.
The programme was aimed at sensitising college students and teachers to the growing threats of online fraud and cybercrime.

Sub-Inspectors of police Raja Goud and Dinesh held an interactive session with the students and enlightened them on cyber safety. They particularly warned students against downloading APK files from unknown sources and against clicking on suspicious links, stressing that a single careless click could hand over control of a phone to an unknown person.
Key topics discussed during the session included creating strong passwords, digital arrest scams, online investment fraud, and the importance of using only official websites. The police officers said, “In today’s digital world, cyber awareness is our strongest shield. We must understand that just as technology is powerful, its misuse is equally easy. Therefore, remain alert and, in case of cyber fraud, call 1930 without delay.”
Incharge principa, Pramod Kumar, vice principal Chandraiah, NSS programme officers N Sangeeta Rani and D Sujatha, IQAC coordinator N Vasavi, G Neeraja, Satyam and other Faculty were also present.
