NIRMAL, JULY 03, 2024: Nirmal Collector Abhilasha Abhinav along with SP Dr G Janaki Sharmila made a surprise visit to Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKL) IIIT Basara and interacted with the students on Wednesday.
The Collector and SP went around the campus along with the students and inquired about their education and schooling background etc. Assuring all assistance from the district administration and police security, the Collector and SP also participated in the planting of saplings on the campus along with students.
They also had lunch with the students in the hostel canteen. On this occasion, they advised the students to desist from the consumption of ghutka and ganja. They also warned of stern action if anyone brings the contraband and sells them in the campus. They informed the students to approach for any assistance 24×7 by dialling 100 or the nearest police stations inspectors of Basara and Mudhole. Bhainsa ACP Avinash Kumar, Mudhole inspector Mallesh, Basara inspector Rakesh, SIs Ganesh, Sai Kiran and others were also present.
