
HYDERABAD, JULY 12, 2025: Chairman of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister, S. Mahendra Dev, met the Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, at Jubilee Hills residence on Saturday.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasised that maintaining a mutual respect between the Union Government and the State Governments is important in the Federal system. The country will not move forward without the development of the States, the CM said while briefing the Chairman about the fast-paced development of the Telangana State.
The Chief Minister expressed serious concern over the increased burden of the payment of the high interest rates on loans borrowed by the previous government. It has become a big difficulty to the repayment of loans, which also impedes the state’s development.
The CM brought to the notice of the Advisory Council Chairman that all the income generated by the state is being spent only on the payment of loans and the government’s efforts to reduce the mounting high interest rates on the state exchequer.
The CM also explained the initiatives taken by the government to create good infrastructure in all Urban areas and also in Hyderabad. Creation of more employment opportunities for the youth by providing skill development training and the plans envisaged for industrial development, as well as the service sector is also discussed in the meeting.
CM Revanth Reddy impressed upon Mahendra Dev the importance of the construction of the Regional Ring Road around Hyderabad and radial roads to connect the ring road. State Principal Secretary to the Finance Department, Sandeep Kumar Sultania, was also present.
