HYDERABAD, MARCH 07, 2926: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy appealed to all central committee members of the Maoist party, including Muppalla Laxman Rao alis Ganapati, to surrender, join the mainstream life and be an active part in the reconstruction of the Telangana state.
As many as 130 Maiosts with 124 sophisticated weapons surrendered before the government in the presence of the Chief Minister at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) today. Addressing the press conference, the CM congratulated the surrendered Naxals for joining mainstream life on a call given by the state government.
In view of pending cases against the Naxals, CM Revanth Reddy said that the government is ready to revoke the cases registered against the extremists within the purview of the laws and also constitute a committee, if required, to review the status of the cases. “ The State Government is sympathetic towards the Naxals and ready to solve the issues “. Further, the Chief Minister said that the government is ready to provide a financial package to the surrendered Naxals, and a decision will be taken in this regard soon. The government is ready to take the responsibility of providing better medical care to the surrendered Naxalites. The union government already gave freedom to the state government to provide healthcare, financial help and housing for the surrendered.
Referring to the proposals made by the surrendered Naxals- Devji, Damodar and other Central Committee members, the CM said that he brought to the attention of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on this issue. We are expecting the surrendered naxals to bring the people’s issues to the notice of the state government in the future.
The CM emphasized that the problems would be resolved through dialogue only. Ballet is more powerful than bullet to solve the issues, CM Revanth Reddy noted that India strongly believes the problems can be solved through peaceful means. Mahatma Gandhi also won a war with a peaceful struggle and brought independence to the country. In the present days, many countries are solving the issues through a peaceful dialogue. “Violence is not a solution for every problem in the state. Let us solve the problems democratically”.
