
KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 14, 2025: National Children’s Day and Self-Governance Day were celebrated at Bhagavathi High School and Arvintree High School in Karimnagar town on Friday, marking the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. School chairman B Ramana Rao and director B Vijaya Lakshmi, and others paid tributes to Nehru by offering flowers at his portrait.
During the celebration, the chairman recalled Nehru’s words, “Nation building is done in the school and not in Parliament,” highlighting his love for children. He urged the students to adopt qualities like honesty, health, creativity, and respect to contribute to the country’s development.
As part of the celebrations, the self-governance day was conducted in both schools, wherein the students donned the role of teachers. While the teachers donned the role of students and presented colourful cultural programmes during the morning special assemblies at both schools. The teachers entertained the students with their scintillating performance on drama and dance sequences.
