
HYDERABAD, JULY 30, 2025: Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao held a coordination meeting with senior officials at the Secretariat today to review and finalise the arrangements for the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations.
He informed that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will begin the day by paying tributes at the Veerula Sainik Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial). Following this, the Chief Minister will participate in the Independence Day celebrations at the historic Golconda Fort.
The Chief Secretary directed all departments to work in close coordination and ensure that the event is conducted in a well-organised and grand manner befitting the occasion. The
Police Department has been instructed to prepare a detailed traffic route map and make necessary arrangements by assigning designated alighting and pick-up points for invitees and the general public. Adequate security and traffic control measures should be ensured at all venues. Roads and Buildings Department was told to illuminate prominent public buildings such as the Telangana Legislative Assembly, High Court, Raj Bhavan, Secretariat, and statues of Telangana Thalli to reflect the festive spirit.
The Cultural Department was directed to organise cultural programmes showcasing the rich heritage and patriotism of the state, to be held as part of the official celebrations at Golconda Fort. The Fire Services Department has been tasked with deploying fire safety personnel and firefighting equipment to ensure safety and readiness for any emergency. The Power Department was instructed to ensure an uninterrupted electricity supply during the celebrations and illumination activities.
The Chief Secretary emphasised that every department must coordinate closely and pay attention to every detail to uphold the dignity and grandeur of the Independence Day celebrations.
