KARIMNAGAR, JANUARY 24, 2026: Alphores Women’s Degree College in Karimnagar town organised a programme on Cancer Awareness under the aegis of Leo Club of the college on Saturday.
Eminent Oncologist Dr Vamshi Chethana talked in detail about defining a dreadful disease like cancer as well as its types, symptoms, causes and timely treatment. Apart from this, she also provided information about the types of cancer being found in different age groups, especially in women, such as cervical cancer, breast cancer and oral cancer etc.
While talking about cervical cancer, she highlighted about its symptoms, causes, prevention and treatment. College Chairman V Ravinder Reddy, while expressing gratitude to Dr Chethana for providing important information on the subject, averred that we should stay healthy by taking proper treatment of any disease by contacting the doctor at the right time. Lion B Madhusudhan Reddy, Leo Club President Sahasra, Leo Asifa, Tapasvi, Sri Vidya and over 150 Leo club members attended the meeting.
