KARIMNAGAR, FEBRUARY 16, 2026: The AIMIM Karimnagar town has alleged that Karimnagar MLA and former Minister Gangula Kamalakar is responsible for ensuring that the BJP attain the Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts in MCK.
Talking to newsmen here on Monday, MIM Karimnagar town president Syed Ghulam Ahmed Hussain charged that the Mayor election of the BJP candidate had exposed the ‘fevicol’ relations between the BJP and the BRS in Karimnagar town. He flayed the BRS for remaining ‘neutral’ and not participating in the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor posts of MCK and termed it a black day.
Alleging that the BRS had collected a huge amount and surrendered to the BJP in the Mayor elections, he said that the MIM had announced support for the Congress candidate following the high command’s instructions. He also alleged that the BRS had a plan to send its leaders into the BJP to win the Municipal elections.
Claiming that it is not a victory of Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar in the MCK elections, he stated that it was a pre-planned plan by Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar, who had decided to support the BJP for his political motives. It is a black day in the democracy of Telangana that BRS is supporting the BJP, he stated. MIM corporators Athina, Majid Hussain, Ibrahim, Mohsin Moiyuddin, and others were also present.
