KARIMNAGAR, JULY 17, 2025: In the auspicious month of Ashadam, it is time for the display of devotion and celebration of a lively festival. Accordingly, the students of Alphores e-techno school, Bhagathnagar, Karimnagar town, celebrated the Bonalu festival with much pomp and gaiety on Thursday.
This special celebration of Bonalu, which is also the Telangana state festival, was marked by a riot of colour, customs, traditions and teen maar dance.
The girl students in their traditional attire carrying bonam on their heads and the boys donning the characters of pothurajus danced to the rhythmic beats of teen maar music.
The girl students had colourfully decorated the bonam with neem leaves, turmeric and vermilion and led in a procession from Bhagathnagar crossroads to the School premises amid the dances by the Potharajus to the traditional drum beats. Alphores educational institutions chairman V Narender Reddy, principal and faculty members participated in the celebrations.
