
KARIMNAGAR, JULY 18, 2025: Students of Sadhana School of Excellence, Jyothinagar, Karimnagar town, celebrated the Bonalu festival with pomp and great enthusiasm on Friday. As part of the celebrations, students donned the roles of Pothuraju and Ammavaru and carried Bonalu amid ‘Teen maar’ drum beats.
The event was graced by the school’s chairman, Ch Srinivas Rao, as the chief guest. He lit the lamp and inaugurated the event. He explained the significance of the Bonalu festival, which is celebrated to appease the goddess of nature duringthe Ashadam month.
The students showcased their talents through various performances, including dances and traditional attire. The event was attended by the school’s principal, V Kumara Swamy and R Dhanalaxmi, teachers and students. The Bonalu festival is celebrated in the month of Ashadam to seek the blessings of the goddess of nature.
