

KARIMNAGAR, NOVEMBER 15, 2024: The 150th birth anniversary of Martyr Veer Birsa Munda, a tribal freedom fighter was celebrated on Friday jointly by the NSS unit of Telangana Tribal Welfare Residential Degree College for Men, Karimnagar and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) on the college premises on Friday
On this occasion, all the TGTWRDC (Men) students, faculty members and others participated in Prabhat Bheri to pay tributes to the tribal leader. They also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Birsa Munda and recollected his services for the liberation of the nation from the clutches of British rulers.
On this occasion, the college management conducted essay writing competition and elocution competitions for the students. District Youth Officer Venkat Rambabu enlightened the students about the sacrifices made by Birsa Munda for the freedom of the country from Britishers. He called upon the students to follow the path shown by Birsa.
Executive Director, SC Corporation, Karimnagar S. Nagarjuna, said that Bhagwan Birsa is a role model for tribal students. Principal, TGTWRDC(M), K. Venu Gopal Rao conveyed his greetings on this occasion of Bhagwan Birsa birth anniversary.
